so the setup is: 10 years ago Jupiter literally disappeared from the night sky when the Jovians (aliens!!) announced themselves by giving magical powers to teenage girls. one of those early magical girls promptly destroyed Texas so now the Jovians r much more selective and only recruit adult women.

our protagonist is Rachel Emily, a college dropout who discovers her roommate Sophia is secretly Strix Striga — a powerful magical girl superhero!! does rachel report this? does she keep the secret like a normal person? NO. she becomes a witch-themed supervillain so she can get strong enough to fight sophia and make sophia pay attention to her. THIS GIRL.

the chapter titles are all "For Yuri, I [action]" and i love it so much i want 2 cry!!! the whole vibe is obsessive yearning wrapped in magical girl chaos and it is EVERYTHING to me

heads up: voracity is very honest that this series had some structural issues and contributed to burnout — they r not shy about it which i respect a lot!! also it got picked up for a publishing deal with Amazon so it's no longer updating on the free site, but the fact that it got published?? SLAY!!
